Getting here from Winchmore Hill

By train. Winchmore Hill station on Station Road sits on the Great Northern Hertford Loop, and Palmers Green is the very next stop towards Moorgate. Come out of Palmers Green station, carry on along Aldermans Hill and Grovelands Road is a turning just past it — three or four minutes on foot.

By bus. The 329 runs the length of Green Lanes between Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green and is the most direct route. Get off in Palmers Green town centre by the Triangle, where Aldermans Hill meets Green Lanes, then walk down Aldermans Hill past the station. The W9 and the 456 call at Winchmore Hill station itself, but neither reaches Palmers Green town centre — the 456 only clips the far side of N13 out by Hedge Lane — so from The Green the train or the 329 is the simpler way.

By car. Green Lanes (the A105) joins the two areas directly, so it is a little over a mile from the shops around The Green. Turn into Aldermans Hill at the Triangle and keep going past the station. Grovelands Road is residential, so check the signs before you leave the car and allow a few minutes to park.

If travelling is the hard part. Tell reception when you book if stairs, a wheelchair or getting in and out of a car is difficult, and we will make the visit as easy as we can. Some Winchmore Hill patients skip the journey altogether and book a video consultation or a home visit instead.

We are at the rear of Grovelands Medical Centre on Grovelands Road, a residential turning off Aldermans Hill in Palmers Green. Grovelands Medical Centre is an NHS surgery. GPLine is a separate private practice in the same building, with our own entrance at the rear, our own telephone number and our own appointment book, and London Diagnostic Centre, also on the site, is a separate business again — so book with us directly rather than through the surgery.
